KCUMB held its CCELS 05/12/14

Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB) held its first Colby Cassani Endowed Lectureship Series (CCELS) in 2012.  The Colby Foundation continues to award KCUMB with the biennial CCELS to ensure that education about organ, eye, and tissue donation has a permanent place in the curriculum.

KCUMB's second CCELS includes speakers presenting the medical, legal, and logistical realities of organ donation and transplantation.  It includes a personal perspective by donor mother, and Colby Foundation Trustee, Starla Cassani, and it includes attendee interaction via case study discussions exploring ethical considerations and patient Q&A.

The foundation thanks the following participants:

Mrs. Starla Cassani - Colby Foundation Trustee and Donor Mother  Colby Foundation:  Colby's Story
