The Colby Foundation awarded the CCELS to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in partnership with Gift of Life Michigan.  Funding for the Lectureship Series ensures that the clinical, logistical, and personal aspects of donation and transplantation have a permanent place in the school's curriculum.  

As part of the CCELS, Colby Foundation Trustee, Starla Cassani, shares her family's journey through grief at the loss of their infant son Colby and the hope and healing they experienced in the lives saved through donating his organs.  Additional presenters from Gift of Life Michigan (the Regional Organ Procurement Organization) as well as clinicians practicing Transplant Medicine are featured.
