It is important to The Colby Foundation that we be “good shepherds” of your information and privacy. We have created this statement and policy to demonstrate this commitment and to ensure that you have every confidence in our ability to handle sensitive information.

We collect information to be able to analyze trends and the effectiveness of our efforts in increasing awareness about Organ and Tissue donation in the national community. We collect this data voluntarily from you and share the data only in aggregated form to our Trustees and funding sources.

We will not share or sell your e-mail address to anyone! We do not share or sell any personally identifiable information about individuals to businesses or organizations, except when an individual has given us written permission.

In our “Stories of Hope” we share people’s personal stories and information with written consent to do so. Although we are sharing very personal stories, we have made every attempt to limit personally identifiable information and photos are used only when we have written permission.

All users should be aware that data collected into our database is obtained through our Contact Us forms, e-Newsletter sign-up and our Contribution Page. You, as our visitor, control the level of information that we can obtain. Feel free to share this information at a minimal level and let us earn your trust.

If, at any time, you wish to be removed from our mailing list and do not wish to receive further information from us, all you have to do is notify us of your wishes.

Our contribution page is maintained at the highest level of security and involves encryption of your personal information.

The Colby Foundation reserves the right to amend this policy and statement at any time with written notice to our users both through our website and in written format to those with addresses on file.
