Two families joined by one heart

WHY: The Foundation serves to honor Colby’s memory by educating others about the hope and healing that organ and tissue donation bring.

The Cassani’s found that donating Colby’s organs brought hope to a hopeless situation. That hope was made more real when they were privileged to meet Brayden, one of three recipients of Colby’s organs. Since 1996, the Cassanis and Brayden’s family have shared a loving friendship (read Brayden’s story [0])

HOW: We are a small foundation working to have a national impact through educating others. Our efforts at organ and tissue donation education are focused through offering:

A speakers’ bureau [0] which includes one of our founders, Starla Cassani

• The Colby Cassani Endowed Lectureship Series [0] to qualifiying schools of medicine.

We encourage those who have encountered our message to consider organ donation [0] and to take the message of hope and healing to others.
