The Colby Foundation first awarded its Colby Cassani Endowed Lectureship Series (CCELS) to Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in 1997. The annual CCELS is made possible through the generosity of our contributors. It focuses on the importance of organ donation and transplantation. Its purpose is to raise awareness and increase support of organ and tissue donation and transplantation, and to highlight its benefits to individuals and society. At this year's CCELS, Starla Cassani will introduce a new group of medical students to Colby's story and the personal side of organ donation. Other speakers addressing the medical, scientific and logistical aspects of organ donation and transplantation include Stephanie Scott of LifeShare Oklahoma and Harvard Medical School associate professor James Rodrigue, Ph.D.
